How to Make a Personalized Ringtone That Says Your Name
NameRingtone.com combines background music with a caller name and a selected ending to create a ringtone that speaks a name out loud. The whole process takes just four steps.
Before You Start
Sign in with your Google account to get started.
Step 1: Choose Your Background Music
Open the ringtone maker and select a background track you like.
- Click Preview to listen before choosing.
- Click the music card to select that track.
Step 2: Enter a Name
Type the caller name or short form of address you want the ringtone to say, such as “Mike,” “Mom,” or “Alex.” Caller names can contain up to 5 words and 50 characters.
Short, clear names usually sound more natural and are easier to hear over the music.
Step 3: Choose an Ending
The ending comes immediately after the name. For example, if the name is “Mike” and the selected ending is “is calling you,” the complete spoken line will be: “Mike is calling you.”
Choose one of the endings shown in the list. For safety, custom endings are temporarily unavailable; we may consider supporting them in the future.
Step 4: Pick a Voice
The voice determines how the spoken line will sound. You can choose from several male and female voice styles.
Use the Preview button to compare them, then select the voice that best fits your ringtone.
Create Your Ringtone
Once all four choices are complete, click Make my ringtone.
The service will then:
- Check that your text follows the content guidelines.
- Generate the spoken audio in your selected voice.
- Place the voice at a suitable point in the background music and mix the final track.
Generation may take a moment. Avoid clicking the button repeatedly or closing the page while your ringtone is being created.
Preview and Download
When your ringtone is ready, you can listen to it in the result card. If you are happy with it, choose the format you need:
- MP3: A convenient option for Android phones and everyday playback.
- M4R: Designed for importing and using as an iPhone ringtone.
Want to try something different? Go back, change the music, caller name, selected ending, or voice, and generate a new version.
A Few Important Reminders
- Do not submit unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, fraudulent, or otherwise inappropriate content.
- If the spoken message is too long for the selected background track, shorten the caller name or choose a shorter ending and try again.
- Generated ringtones are for personal use only. They may not be resold or publicly distributed.
- You can access generation history and download files from your account for 24 hours after creation. Download anything you want to keep before access expires.
That’s all there is to it: choose your music, enter a caller name, select an ending and a voice, and create a ringtone that says the name you want.
